The Saturday after Thanksgiving one of my college roommates is going to be tying the knot. I originally thought that it was uncustomary to have a wedding in the fall, but have found that many people opt for an autumn ceremony. For most of the wedding guests this is actually a great time to have a wedding, as most people have a vacation thanks to the holiday.

For the past week or two I have been trying to decide what gift to get them. Like most couples, they have a wedding registry, but I have a difficult time justifying paying $30 for a cereal bowl. I want to be sure to get them something good, because I am sure they will have expensive fall wedding favors.
